Smith Dollar attorneys Josh West and Richard Sutherland recently concluded a hard-fought, contested liability lawsuit involving a City of Santa Rosa Police Detective who unwittingly struck and ran over a 28-year old Santa Rosa woman while attempting to park outside the police substation located on West Steele Lane near Coffey Lane in Santa Rosa. The involved officer and the City of Santa Rosa disputed liability for the incident as well as the victim’s damages and retained an animation expert for purposes of furthering the defendants’ contention that they were not responsible for the victim’s serious and permanent injuries.
